Jonathan Charles Ornaments of Legacy Shadow Boxes - Set of 3

This set of three framed artworks by Jonathan Charles draws inspiration from antique architectural decoration, where symbolic motifs were cast not merely as ornament, but as expressions of meaning. The ribbon, the crown of olive leaves and the radiant sun each speak to themes of honor, peace and vitality.

Cast in bronze and presented with linen matting in patinated antique gold frames, the pieces elevate historic architectural details into sculptural studies. Together, they form a refined composition that celebrates the enduring language of symbolism, craftsmanship and classical proportion.

JC Modern

Eliminating unnecessary detailing doesn’t mean eliminating the perfect details. That’s what sets Jonathan Charles’ modern accents apart from others. Luxurious materials in the hands of craftsmen who have a discerning eye for line, curve, geometry and proportion are transformed into splendid signature pieces that uplift the environment in which they are placed. As opposed to much of the contemporary movement, modern style incorporates practical functionality and ease of use, especially welcome elements in today’s homes.
