Sheraton Style Chair

A beautiful sheraton style walnut dining side chair by Jonathan Charles, after an original of 1795. 'Sheraton' describes a late 18th century English furniture style, inspired by the neoclassical styles of Louis XVI's court. Furniture from this period usually features round tapered legs, fluting and most notably contrasting veneer inlays. This chair has an open oval back decorated with gilded neoclassical carving and a fleur-de-lys type ornament. The chair also contains a shaped fabric upholstered seat, shallow carved and brass accented floral design to the serpentine rail and cabriole legs terminating in brass feet. A highly intricate and opulent piece of furniture, it would be perfect for a traditional dining room.

Walnut

Walnut is a dark and rich wood, bringing a warm and luxurious feeling to a room. It is a hardwood with a straight grain and is available in a range of shades to suit all styles.
